FreshDirect Relaunches 4-Minute Meals, Rolls Out Sweepstakes
Online grocer FreshDirect has overhauled the new shopping experience for its popular 4-Minute Meals, which are prepared fresh daily from recipes by top New York chefs. To coincide with the relaunch, Long Island City, N.Y.-based FreshDirect has introduced the Foodie Fantasy sweepstakes, which offers customers a opportunity to gain exclusive behind-the-scenes access to some of Manhattan’s best restaurants.
“For five years now, our customers have been enjoying the convenience of fresh, chef-prepared meals in minutes,” noted FreshDirect CEO and chairman Rick Braddock. “4-Minute Meals have been one of our best sellers, and … the new website experience [offers] our customers a smarter, easier way to shop for their favorite 4-Minute Meals.”
The redesigned website offers smart navigation, making it simpler than ever for customers to choose from among the more than 80 4-Minute Meal selections. With a sort and filter option customers can shop for meals by ingredient, nutrition and price, ensuring that site visitors find the entrees that match their preferences and dietary needs. Customers now can shop by most popular meals, customer favorites and seasonal favorites, in addition to taking advantage of a “Quick Buy” option to buy meals with a single click of the mouse. Each week, a highlighted meal will be offered at a special, discounted price.
To promote this new functionality and the 4-Minute Meals line, FreshDirect developed the Foodie Fantasy Sweepstakes, which enables customers to meet New York chefs and go behind-the-scenes at their restaurants for private tasting, a cooking lesson, a special lunch, and handpicked selection of foods. Participating chefs are Terrance Brennan of Picholine, David Suarez of Rosa Mexicano, and FreshDirect’s Michael Stark and Tina Bourbeau.
Customers 21 and older who reside in a FreshDirect delivery area can enter the sweepstakes through Dec. 31, and rules are available for review at www.freshdirect.com/win4mm.
FreshDirect’s service area currently includes most of Manhattan, locations in Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and the Bronx, and parts of New Jersey, Connecticut, Westchester and Nassau County.
