FreshDirect Offers Unlimited-delivery Program
LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. -- Internet grocer FreshDirect here said it has introduced the DeliveryPass, which it said allows customers to order FreshDirect food as often as they like without paying a fee for each delivery.
A limited offer to sign up for a $29.99 two-month trial for the service runs through Sept. 30, the Web-based grocer said.
FreshDirect said the program allows participants to take more frequent advantage of deliveries of seasonal produce, ready-to-cook foods, grocery, and specialty foods without worrying about additional costs. It also enables customers to take further advantage of weekly President's Picks specials, and gain exclusive access to Reserve a Delivery Time, a service that allows shoppers to reserve a delivery window up to a week before checkout. Customers can also permit FreshDirect to hold a regular weekly delivery slot for them.
After the two-month trial, FreshDirect will automatically bill participants $99 for annual membership, unless the customer opts out during the trial period.
