A Fresh Take on Fries

06/21/2009

Thanks to a newly finalized licensing arrangement between Burger King Corp. and Crunch Pak, BK® Fresh Apple Fries -- fresh-cut, skinless red apples sliced to resemble real french fries -- will roll out to about 10,000 supermarkets nationwide this fall. Destined for produce sections, the item, which has been available in Burger King restaurants since June 2008, will be clearly labeled with the brand logo to make it immediately recognizable as a Burger King branded product. While exact serving sizes and price points haven’t yet been confirmed, a single serving will be available for about $1, while a larger package with multiple servings will go for $4 to $5, according to Miami-based Burger King.
