Fresh Brands Names VP of Retail Operations
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - Fresh Brands Inc. has appointed John C. Rocker as VP of retail operations effective Feb. 17. Rocker has extensive experience in retail supermarket operations as well as human resource management, labor relations and risk management.
Before joining Fresh Brands, Rocker was VP of operations for Homeland Holdings Corp., the Oklahoma City, Okla.-based supermarket chain since 1998. At Homeland he had responsibility for 85 stores. From 1980 to to 1998, he held positions of increasing responsibility with the Kroger Company, where he rose from store management to key positions in district operations management and staff positions in human resources, labor relations and risk management.
Fresh Brands Inc. is a supermarket retailer and grocery wholesaler through corporate-owned retail, franchised and independent supermarkets. The corporate-owned and franchised retail supermarkets operate under the Piggly Wiggly and Dick's Supermarkets brands. Fresh Brands currently has 74 franchised supermarkets, 28 corporate-owned stores, three distribution centers and a centralized bakery/deli production facility. Stores are located throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
