FreeBird has added five new products to its fully cooked frozen poultry line. In common with other offerings from the brand of Fredericksburg, Pa.-based Hain Pure Protein Corp., a joint venture between Pegasus Capital Advisors LP and the Hain Celestial Group, the proprietary recipes contain antibiotic-free chicken and all-natural ingredients. Gluten- and soy-free FreeBird Nuggets and FreeBird Patties are made with breast meat, while Baked Popcorn Chicken, also featuring breast meat, has a baked whole grain coating. Replacing its earlier available wings, Barbeque Wings and Buffalo-Style Wings offer a saucier flavor that has scored high in taste tests, according to FreeBird.
