Food Lion Rolls Out ‘Groceries for Good’ Campaign
Food Lion has teamed up with customers and vendors in its more than 1,100 stores through Mar. 17 to help alleviate hunger through the Food Lion Feeds "Groceries for Good" campaign.
When customers use an MVP card to buy any five of more than 800 specially marked participating products across the grocery, meat, frozen, general merchandise, nonfoods, and health and beauty care categories, Food Lion Feeds will help provide five meals to area food banks. All donations benefit Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity, and its network of local food banks.
Working toward its pledge to provide 500 million meals by the end of 2020, Food Lion Feeds has already donated almost 60 million meals through in-store campaigns such as Groceries for Good, a food donation program, and local donations and volunteerism.
Salisbury, N.C.-based Food Lion has more than 1,100 stores in 10 Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states, and employs more than 63,000 associates. Food Lion is a company of Delhaize America, the U.S. division of Brussels-based Delhaize Group.
