Food Lion Names V.P. of Deli, Bakery, Home Meal Solutions
SALISBURY, N.C. -- Delhaize division Food Lion here has appointed Tammy DeBoer v.p. of deli, bakery, and home meal solutions. She reports to Derrick Penick, s.v.p. of fresh merchandising and distribution.
In her new position, DeBoer is responsible for all aspects of Food Lion’s deli, bakery, and home meal solutions operations, including strategic planning, merchandising, product assortment, quality assurance, vendor relations, and employee training and development. She is also charged with developing merchandising strategies to serve and meet the needs of customers at Food Lion’s 1,220 stores.
DeBoer previously served the company as director of private label brand development and director of regional merchandising.
DeBoer came to Food Lion from Nash Finch Co., where she was v.p. of merchandising, pharmacy, marketing, and advertising. Prior to that, she worked as v.p. of sales for the Giant Food supermarket chain. She began her grocery career at Food Lion, where she served 13 years, rising to the position of vice president of dry merchandising.
