Food Lion Makes Executive-Level Moves

SALISBURY, N.C. -- Food Lion, a unit of Delhaize America here, said yesterday it was shuffling seven vice presidents as part of its ongoing associate-development initiative. Each is moving from one vice president position to another.

The moves are:

-- Scott Harrison to v.p. of retail operations - Southern Division;

-- Geoff Waldau to v.p. of merchandising services;

-- John Mercer to v.p. of meat and seafood merchandising;

-- Mark Messier to v.p. of retail services;

-- Ty Burns to v.p. of retail operations - Central Division;

-- Gaelo de la Fuente to v.p. of retail operations - Atlantic Division; and

-- Bob Stapleton to v.p. of retail operations - Western Division.
