Food Lion Expands Agreement with Enerwise Global Technologies
KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. - Enerwise Global Technologies announced on Monday that Food Lion
LLC, a subsidiary of Delhaize America, has expanded its existing agreement with Enerwise to include the implementation of advanced energy management products and services at 20 additional Food Lion stores, with the goal of further extending the relationship to include new stores slated for construction during 2003 and 2004.
Enerwise's turnkey energy management solution for Food Lion includes Internet-based system monitoring, metering, and reporting; equipment supply, installation, and integration; and advanced energy analysis.
Food Lion was named an ENERGY STAR "Partner of the Year" for 2002 by the EPA for its outstanding energy use management and pollution prevention efforts.
"The Enerwise system is an invaluable tool that enables me to view energy information for individual stores at the click of a mouse," said Rick Heithold, Food Lion's corporate energy manager. "The combination of tools and professional services provided by Enerwise delivers both high quality, informative data and rapid, effective system integration, enabling us to achieve success in our conservation efforts more swiftly."
Enerwise has completed energy management systems at 12 Food Lion stores, with eight other implementations currently in progress.
