Food Emporium Offers Exclusive Easter Chocolates

The Food Emporium, the gourmet banner of the Montvale, N.J.-based Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., is offering a selection of Fritz Knipschildt's Easter chocolates exclusively at the fine chocolate boutiques in its BridgeMarket (59th and 1st Ave.) and Trump Palace (68th and 3rd Ave.) locations.

The assortment consists of four handcrafted dome-shaped pieces: Dark Chocolate with Praline and Liquor de Famboise, White Chocolate with Amaretto Mocha Ganache, Milk Chocolate with Lemon Marzipan Ganache, and Dark Chocolate with Black Currant Ganache. A three-ounce box of the chocolates costs $19.99.

Besides Knipschildt’s confections, The Food Emporium features a range of other gourmet specialties to celebrate the holiday, among them a solid chocolate bunny by Swiss chocolatier Chocolat Schonenberger; a chocolate egg filled with English Rose & Violet Creams by Charbonnel et Walker; and chocolate-covered marzipan eggs from Niederegger; and Lake Champlain dark chocolate raspberry Easter eggs. Other novelty items available for the holiday include an assortment of milk chocolate lollipops, eggs, bunnies, and jellybeans.

Norwalk, Conn.-based Knipschildt Chocolatier is run by Fritz Knipschildt, who uses the finest raw ingredients from Europe, including French Valrhona chocolate and Spanish almonds and Italian hazelnuts. All Knipschildt items are handmade and come in handcrafted papers and boxes from India.
