Family Dollar Promotes Store Operations Exec
MATTHEWS, N.C. -- National discount chain Family Dollar Stores, Inc. here said yesterday it had promoted Barry W. Sullivan to the position of e.v.p. - store operations. Sullivan, who has been with Family Dollar since 2002 and most recently served as s.v.p. store operations, will continue to report to R. James Kelly, the company's president and c.o.o.
Sullivan began his career with Family Dollar as v.p., Northeast division. In 2004, he became v.p., Urban East division, and in 2005, he was promoted to s.v.p., store operations.
Prior to joining Family Dollar, Sullivan served as v.p., store operations, for Eckerd Corp.
Family Dollar currently operates more than 6,400 stores in 44 states.
