Ethnic/Specialty Foods Distributor to Supply Publix Stores
TAMPA, Fla. – Paskert Distribution Co., a family-owned ethnic and specialty food distributor based here, has expanded its distribution area to include the greater Miami market, including Publix’ conventional units, as well as its Hispanic format, Publix Sabor.
The company is now servicing 227 stores in Publix’ Miami division, supplying such products as Badia spices, Jarritos sodas, and La Costena canned items. In addition to the Publix business, Paskert supplies some Albertsons, Sweetbay, Super Target, Wal-Mart, and Winn-Dixie stores in the Southeast United States. The company works with about 75 manufacturers, 50 of which are Hispanic. It specializes in Hispanic, Mexican, Anglo, and Jamaican lines.
