ECRM Updates Website with Social Media
ECRM has updated its website to incorporate social media as a way of facilitating communication among EPPS event attendees and MarketGate users.
The site now features sections called “MarketGate Communities” which allow users to view information related to their specific category. Each community features a member’s area that allows users to search, befriend and communicate with buyers and suppliers worldwide that do business in the category. Similar to social media networks, the site enables users to interact with other users. They can create a profile, propose and accept meetings, discuss and comment on news, invite associates to be friends, and more. In addition, users will be able to stay up to date on their industry with news from various trade and mass media publications.
“We wanted to provide our users with a more personalized experience to conducting business,” said Kurt Repola, chief architect, ECRM. “Social media is the way people do business now, so we wanted to develop a network that our clients can use every day. By combining MarketGate’s powerful capabilities with social media, we have created a simplified approach to absorbing information and making connections. Ultimately, we think both buyers and suppliers will save time and benefit from the updated site,”
MarketGate tools play a significant role in each of the Communities. MarketGate tools include: Ad Comparisons, Promotional Planning, Contact Manager, Scorecard Manager, Product Catalog & Image Library and Meeting Manager. Users can take advantage of these tools for product and material sourcing, ad research, and communication needs, according to ECRM.
ECRM will be conducting webcasts to review new features of the software. Those interested in learning more can sign up at https://ecrm-epps.webex.com/ecrm-epps/onstage/g.php?p=135&t=m
