dunnhumby Teams up with KSS Retail for Pricing Op Modeling Capabilities

Price modeling and optimization solutions provider KSS Retail and brand-building consultancy dunnhumby have formed a strategic alliance that will enable dunnhumby to provide price modeling and optimization to its existing and future clients in North America and elsewhere.

“Aligning with KSS Retail will allow us to increase our capabilities in the work we do with retailers and manufacturers, and help us provide an even higher level of relevance to the customer,” said Simon Hay, CEO of Cinncinati-based dunnhumbyUSA. “[It presents] opportunities to further develop and customize our capabilities.”

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“dunnhumby is uniquely qualified at turning customer insights into meaningful action,” said Lance Jacobs, CEO of Florham Park, N.J.-based KSS Retail. “We believe that melding dunnhumby’s essential customer genius with KSS Retail’s price optimization technology will yield unprecedented value to the retailer, manufacturer and the consumer.”

dunnhumbyUSA specializes in developing insights into what consumers are buying and why, and turning them into actionable strategies to drive growth and sustainable loyalty. It’s a joint venture between The Kroger Co. and London-based dunnhumby.
