Driscoll's Will Be Featured on Food Network's 'Unwrapped'
WATSONVILLE, Calif. -- The popular Food Network program, "Unwrapped" with host Marc Summers, will feature Driscoll's berries in a segment titled "Very Berry" to air on Monday, May 7 at 9:00 p.m.
Each week, "Unwrapped" uncovers behind-the-scenes details on classic American food. Host Summers explores the test kitchens and the secrets behind lunch box treats, soda pop, movie candy, and more.
"Unwrapped shows the passion people have for the food they produce and it gives us a chance to show the care and passion we put into our berries," says Gloria Chillon, Driscoll's marketing director.
The "Very Berry" segment explores the story behind Driscoll's berries. Miles Reiter, chairman and c.e.o. of Driscoll's, was interviewed for the program filmed in Watsonville. During the segment, Reiter talks about what the perfect berry means to him and the care and family tradition that goes into Driscoll's unique strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries.
In addition to first airing next Monday, the segment will also be shown Tuesday, May 8 at 12:00 a.m. and May 18 at 7:30 p.m.
