Dr. John C. Maxwell to Keynote 2011 FMI-GMA Supply Chain Conference

Leadership expert and author Dr. John C. Maxwell will keynote a session titled, “Learn How to Connect, Not Just Communicate,” at the second annual FMI-GMA Supply Chain Conference.

The session, which is sponsored by Fuquay-Varina, N.C.-based Freight Handlers, Inc., will be held 8 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2011 at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes, Orlando, Fla. Freight Handlers is also sponsoring the conference’s final networking gala Tuesday evening.

“I expect a great conversation on how to engage people for mutual benefit and for the benefit of the organization,” said Maxwell. “I [hope to] help this group of supply chain experts learn how to get the best out of their teams and how to work within the framework of their companies to multiply value.”

In his talk, he will draw on his years of experience analyzing successful leadership traits to examine the importance of connecting with people as opposed to simply communicating with them.
