Dominick's Offers In-Store Flu Vaccines
OAK BROOK, Ill. -- Dominick's Finer Foods is offering flu vaccines at all 98 stores in the Chicagoland area now through February 2007, or while supplies last, the chain said. Most stores will provide vaccines on a walk-in basis at in-store pharmacies, while others will conduct scheduled flu shot clinics.
"The best way to prevent the flu is to get a vaccine each fall," said Dave Fong, s.v.p. of pharmacy. "By administering vaccines on site at our in-store pharmacies, Dominick's is making it easy for anyone to protect themselves. Receiving a flu shot is as easy as stopping at the pharmacy during your regular shopping trip."

Dominick's said for Medicare Plan B participants not enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan, the chain will administer the flu vaccines at no charge. Dominick's offers full-service adult and adolescent immunization services for the prevention of such ailments as shingles prevention, tetanus, hepatitis, pneumococcal and meningococcal.
With 98 stores throughout the Chicago area, Dominick's is owned and operated by Pleasanton, Calif.-based Safeway Inc.
