Dole Fresh Vegetables Names Corporate Award Recipients
MONTEREY, Calif. -- Dole Fresh Vegetables here presented Ed Wynn, its engineering project manager, with the President's Achievement Award for outstanding service to the company.
Dole said Wynn was a major contributor to the design, construction, and budget and project management of its new value-added plant in Bessemer City, N.C.
"If it wasn't for Ed and his dedication to Dole, this project would never have been pulled off with meeting the quality, timeliness or cost objectives," said Jim Diehl, manager of the new Dole production facility, which will officially launch production and showcase its capabilities at a community grand opening April 4.
Dole Fresh Vegetables also presented safety awards to its broccoli department, which earned an accident-free record in both 2005 and 2006. Dole Fresh's Berry Co. and its Salinas Transplant Co. were also recognized with having no incidents in 2006.
Dole Fresh Vegetables offers more than 40 varieties of fresh, ready-to-eat packaged salads including complete kits with dressings, seasonal salads with flavorful accompaniments, iceberg and romaine combinations, family-size packaged salads and upscale blends.
