Dimond Back at Nash Finch; Stewart Out as CFO

MINNEAPOLIS -- Robert B. Dimond has left Wild Oats to rejoin Nash Finch Co. here as c.f.o./e.v.p./treasurer, effective January 2, 2007.

Dimond, 45, had served in executive finance roles at Nash Finch from 2000 to 2004. Since April 2005, he has been Wild Oats' c.f.o and an s.v.p.

At Nash Finch, Dimond replaces LeAnne M. Stewart, who earlier this year announced her intention to leave the company.

At Wild Oats, Dimond's responsibilities included all areas of finance and accounting, strategic planning and analysis, information technology and risk management. He spearheaded the successful launch of a program to sell Wild Oats branded products to other grocers.

Prior to his four years of service with Nash Finch, Dimond, a c.p.a., was group v.p. and c.f.o. for the western region of The Kroger Co.; and served as v.p., administration and controller for Smith's Food and Drug Centers.

Nash Finch's core food distribution business serves independent retailers and military commissaries in 31 states, the District of Columbia, Europe, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Azores, and Honduras. The company also owns a base of retail stores, primarily supermarkets, under the Econofoods, Family Thrift Center, and Sun Mart trade names.
