Dierbergs Bows New Fresh Soup Line
ST. LOUIS -- Dierbergs Markets has introduced a program featuring 14 new fresh soups individually packaged in handy 16-ounce microwavable containers.
Dubbed "Just Fresh Soups," the all-natural, preservative-free soups are made with homemade stocks and the freshest vegetables, herbs, meats, and cheeses, and are "perfectly sized for sharing with a companion," according to a promotional posting on Dierbergs' Web site.
The soup packaging uses an enclosed thermal sleeve, similar to those used by coffee shops, helping customers keep their hands cool when transporting the hot soup.
Merchandised in refrigerated cases in Dierbergs deli and produce departments, the soups are available in Wild Mushroom Bisque, Broccoli & White Cheddar, Chicken Tortilla, and Chicken Fajita Soup with Beans varieties. All of the soups sell for $3.99, with the exception of Lobster Bisque, which is $4.99.
