Delhaize Belgium to Build Enterprise-wide Platform for Mission-critical Apps

Delhaize Belgium plans to build an integrated supply chain enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform that will enable the retailer to standardize its supply chain transactions, and boost efficiency and productivity.

Brussels-based Delhaize is working with Accenture to implement the G.O.L.D solution from Aldata, a global provider of integrated business solutions. Delhaize expects the program to improve the management of the inventory in its datacenters, aiding the company’s ability to make faster and better business decisions and helping to offer an enhanced experience for its customers, while reducing inventory costs. In delivering the program, New York-based Accenture will implement to organizations that serve the retail consumer and wholesale distribution markets.

“Delhaize Belgium requires an integrated enterprise resource planning platform to standardize its end-to-end supply chain transactions,” said Luc Koenot, SVP and CIO at Delhaize Belgium. “Accenture’s proven track record in the retail industry and system integration capabilities assure us that the collaboration with Accenture will provide Delhaize Belgium with access to the appropriate expertise and know-how to deliver on this ambitious vision.”
