Dean Foods, TiVo Launch Joint Promotion, Sweepstakes

MINNEAPOLIS -- Dean Foods Co. here and TiVo Inc. are launching a consumer promotion this week that coincides with the launch of TiVo KidZone, a service enhancement that gives parents control over what their children watch.

"Many parents are becoming increasingly conscious of what their children are consuming," said Dave Haley, director of marketing for Dean Foods. "This partnership seeks to encourage healthy lifestyles by promoting a wholesome diet that extends from what's on kids' dinner plates to what they're watching on TV."

For the promotion, Dean's brand product coupons will be accompanied by a chance for consumers to win a flat panel TV and a TiVo Series2 DT DVR with one year of TiVo service, complete with the new TiVo KidZone parental control feature.

The promotion includes coupons for Dean Foods' branded products (Dean's, Land O Lakes and Country Fresh) and a very kid-friendly sweepstakes drawing: three grand prizes (one per product region) of a 22" flat panel TV and a new TiVo Series2(TM) DT DVR plus one year of TiVo service. Fifteen runners-up (five per product region) will receive a new TiVo Series2 DT DVR and one year of TiVo service. All prizes feature TiVo KidZone, which is included free as part of the award-winning TiVo service.
