Deadline Draws Near for Top Women Applications

With the March 14 deadline only weeks away, Progressive Grocer has issued a "last call" for nominee submissions for its annual Top Women in Grocery awards program, which recognizes the integral role women play across all areas of the dynamic retail food industry. As in years’ past, women will be honored from both the retailer and supplier communities in three categories:

1. Senior Level Executives (retailers, suppliers and wholesalers)

2. Rising Stars (retailers, suppliers and wholesalers, with job titles above store managers but below VP)

3. Store Managers (retailers only)

All Top Women in Grocery winners will be recognized in PG’s June 2013 issue, and will also be honored at a gala awards celebration that will take place in late 2013.

Candidates will be based on female movers and shakers within the retail food industry who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and influence in their companies, as well as in the industry at large. Nominations must include accomplishments/achievements attained during the Feb. 1, 2012 - March 1, 2013 timeframe.

The deadline for nominations is March 14, 2013.

For repeat nominees, the candidate must have added new responsibilities to their role while achieving new related significant achievements during the specified measuring period, beyond the past achievements noted in previous Top Women in Grocery nomination forms.
