Daymon Worldwide Plans Private Label Forum to Coincide with FMI Show
STAMFORD, Conn. -- Global sales and marketing firm Daymon Worldwide here said yesterday it will kick off a high-level international event centered around private label, to coincide with next year's FMI Show in May. Keynoting the event will be Dr. Victor K. Fung, a renowned supply chain management expert.
The Daymon Worldwide Forum, dubbed "Partnering in a Smaller World," is designed to bring together senior wholesale, retail, and supplier executives for two days of discussions about their private label businesses, May 5 and 6, 2006, just prior to the annual Food Marketing Institute (FMI) Show in Chicago on May 7 to May 9.
The forum will showcase best-in-class, marketing-driven product and service solutions for private label producer, wholesale, and retail executives from all parts of the globe. The agenda will include speakers and presenters from a wide range of organizations and areas of expertise.
In a first for FMI, private label suppliers will exhibit in a dedicated section of the FMI show floor that will be opened on May 6 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Additional business and social events for the suppliers and customers are being planned by Daymon around the FMI Show schedule.
"Our vision is to create a new and unique platform to take private label to a higher level of exposure within the supermarket industry, and the FMI May Show is the perfect venue to help make this happen," said Milt Sender, chairman of Daymon Worldwide, in a statement.
The keynote speaker Fung is group chairman of the Hong Kong-based Li & Fung Group, a multinational group of companies operating three distinct core businesses -- export trading, retailing, and distribution. Li & Fung is widely considered to be a leader and innovator in the development of global supply chain management.
