D’Agostinos Helps Feed Homebound Elderly

New York City-based D’Agostino Supermarkets is asking shoppers throughout the month of February to make checkout donations to help feed the city’s homebound elderly as part of the Round-Up for Citymeals-on-Wheels initiative.

The well-known grocer has raised more than $2 million for Citymeals since 1989, when it first became the first Citymeals Round-Up partner.

Customers at all D’Agostino’s locations will be asked to round up their total to the next dollar, or donate an amount of their choice to support Citymeals, a not-for-profit organization that prepares and delivers weekend, holiday and emergency meals to the frail-aged throughout the New York City boroughs.

D’Agostino Supermarkets also participates by rounding up the total of customer donations when the program is completed each year.
