Cub Foods Holds Multicultural Fest for Grand Opening
Cub Foods marked the grand opening of its newest store, in the Phalen neighborhood of St. Paul, Minn., with a community arts celebration showcasing the rich cultural diversity of the neighborhood.
The multicultural festival featured theater, dance, and musical performances. Festival-goers also had the opportunity to sample food, including many natural, ethnic, and certified organic foods.
Established in 1968 as one of the nation's first discount grocery stores, the Stillwater, Minn.-based Cub Foods was purchased in 1980 by Supervalu and currently operates 57 stores in the Twin Cities.
