Cub Foods Awards Free Groceries for a Year
Three lucky Minnesotans can stock up for the holiday season and beyond thanks to one year’s worth of free groceries from Cub Foods.
The Minnesota-based grocer has announced the three grand-prize winners of the “I Love My Cub” anniversary contest, held earlier this fall to celebrate Cub’s 44th anniversary at all 67 Cub Foods locations. Each winner is receiving $5,200 dollars worth of Cub Foods gift cards, equivalent to $100 for each week of the year.
The three grand-prize winners came from Cub Foods stores in Blaine, Duluth and White Bear Lake. Gary Sitko frequents the Blaine South store at 585 Northtown Drive, Eunice Connor is a longtime shopper at the Duluth Cub, and Sheila Kelly regularly shops at the White Bear Lake store.
“We sincerely appreciate every single customer who shops at our stores and want to thank everyone who proudly displays their I Love My Cub window cling,” said Cub Foods president Brian Audette. “Cub is proud of our long history serving the people of Minnesota and we are excited to celebrate by providing a year’s worth of groceries to three lucky winners, right in time for the holiday season.”
To participate in the contest, customers displayed an “I Love My Cub” window cling in their vehicles from mid-August through the month of September. Cub Foods associates selected vehicles displaying the cling at various points during that timeframe. Customers who were “spotted” during these times were awarded with a gift card and entered into the grand-prize drawing.
