C&S Wholesale Grocers to Offer Green Batteries
KEENE, N.H. -- Grocery distributor C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. said it plans to offer cost effective, environmentally responsible batteries to the retailers it services.
The wholesaler inked an agreement yesterday with Pure Energy Visions Inc. a subsidiary of Pure Energy Visions Corp., a Canadian developer of energy storage technologies for the international battery and fuel cell markets.
With over 60 warehouse facilities throughout the United States, C&S serves supermarket chains including Pathmark, Safeway, Giant Food Stores, Shaw's, Stop and Shop, A&P Food Mart, Big Y Foods, BJ's Warehouse, Great American, SavMart/Foodmax, and Demoulas, as well as a number of independent store/supermarket owner/operators.
C&S operates more than 60 distribution facilities in 14 states, and employs more than 20,000 associates.
