Crock-Pot Seasoning Mixes
B&G Foods and Providence, R.I.-based Jarden Consumer Solutions are introducing Crock-Pot Seasoning Mixes, which feature a combination of savory spices and herbs to help consumers prepare classic family dishes with ease. “More than 2 billion slow-cooker meals are made annually, and consumers consistently seek new and convenient ways to nourish their families,” notes David L. Wenner, president and CEO of Parsippany, N.J.-based B&G. “This line … enables us to leverage the brand power and reputation of Crock-Pot, the Original Slow Cooker, and provide high-quality, affordable food products that answer real consumer needs.” Available in single-serving Hearty Beef Stew, Savory Pot Roast and BBQ Pulled Pork packets that season 2 to 3 pounds of meat in a Crock-Pot slow cooker, producing meals to feed four to six people, the item will be available nationwide this September at an SRP of $1.99, with additional flavors to roll out later in 2012.
