Coupons.com Adds Additional Retailers to Mobile, Web Apps

Coupons.com Inc., a provider of digital coupons including online printable, pure digital and mobile promotions, has added Giant Eagle, Lowe’s Foods, Marsh and Meijer to its list of retailers at which consumers can use pure digital and mobile coupons.

These retailers are live now on the just-launched Grocery iQ 2.6.5 mobile shopping-list app and on Coupons.com and will soon be available on the Coupons.com mobile app.

“Pure digital couponing is something everyone is excited about and is gaining more and more consumer awareness and acceptance,” said Steven Boal, CEO of the Mountainview, Calif.-based company. “We’re leading the way with mobile apps and pure digital promotions that help consumers shop better and save more.”

With just a few clicks, consumers can digitally load coupons to their Coupons.com “Savings Card” account and the savings are automatically deducted from the total at checkout—without the need for clipping or scanning printed coupons. Shoppers simply register and browse available coupons using the “Savings Card” tab on the Grocery iQ or Coupons.com mobile apps or on www.coupons.com.

Grocery iQ is the shopping list application that lets users create, organize and share lists and use coupons. The new retailers are live in the just-launched version 2.6.5 of Grocery iQ for iOS. Other recently added enhancements include voice recognition, more personalized search and better coupon integration into the list-making process. Grocery iQ is also available for free on the Android mobile operating platform.

The Coupons.com mobile app is dedicated to coupons, and gives shoppers mobile access to the printable, loyalty card and hyper-local Show & Save coupons available on its website. The Coupons.com app is available for free for iOS and Android operating systems, and the new retailers will be added to the app in the coming days. Version 1.1 for iOS was introduced recently with new features such as keyword search that makes it easier to find relevant coupons on a small screen, multi-tasking support and native support for iPad users.

Coupons.com’s clients include over 52,000 retail outlets, including those operated by CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Fred’s, Kmart, Rite Aid, Safeway, Walgreens, and Walmart. Additional retail chain partners for its Save to Card program will be announced in the near future.
