Core-Mark to Take Over Three Fleming Distribution Centers
NEW YORK -- C-store distributor Core-Mark International, Inc. on Tuesday said it will add three eastern distribution centers, formerly part of Fleming Cos., Inc., to its network.
Bankrupt food distributor Fleming will close three convenience business divisions located in Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Georgia, Core-Mark said.
Fleming customers in Atlanta will be served by Core-Mark, as will some customers of the other two closing divisions, Core-Mark said.
Fleming distribution centers in Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Leitchfield, Ky. will be added to Core-Mark's network.
On Oct. 1, San-Francisco-based Core-Mark, the last remaining piece of Fleming, said it is entertaining bids for the company. Core-Mark operates as a separate business and legal entity from parent Fleming.
