Consumers Cash In on Nugget Market’s Low Price Promo

In a bid to put its money where its mouth is, Woodland, Calif.-based Nugget Market awarded
Elk Grove, Calif. resident Kristin Marguilis with a $1,000 gift card as the latest winner of the grocer’s Price Survey contest. Nugget’s gift card giveaway is the headline attraction of an ongoing promotion the grocer is running to show just how well its prices stack up against the competition.

The survey involves comparing Nugget’s prices of 25 commonly purchased items to those prices offered by Nugget’s competitors, among which includes Raley’s, Bel Air, and Safeway. Every month, each shopper taking the price survey is automatically eligible for the gift card drawing, and all of Nugget Market’s shoppers are invited to take the survey.

According to Nugget, the grocer consistently beats Raley’s/ Bel Air and Safeway’s prices in eight out of 10 price comparison surveys. Price survey results are posted in each Nugget Market.

In addition to nine Nugget Market locations, the innovative independent also operates three Food 4 Less stores.
