Consumers Can Freshen Their Freezers With Healthy Choice

Healthy Choice, a brand of Omaha, Neb.-based ConAgra Foods Inc., has rolled out the Freshen Your Freezer contest, which dares consumers to clean out their messy freezers, stock them with Healthy Choice meals and submit images to share with Healthy Choice fans, for the chance to win prizes including cash and branded products. Featuring the input of Greg Ng from the blog Freezerburns.com, the contest builds on the brand’s strong social media presence and aims to showcase the broad assortment of Healthy Choice meals currently on the market.

Entrants upload either a “before” or “after” picture of their freezer to a tab on Healthy Choice’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/healthychoice. Once the contest closes, Ng and his team will review all entries and choose several winners to receive cash prizes for an adventure vacation of their choice, supplies of Healthy Choice meals, gift cards to stock their freezers, among other goodies. The “after” picture winner will additionally get to pay a visit to ConAgra HQ to co-host a live review of Healthy Choice with Ng for his blog.

“Everyone can think of a time when they dug into the back of their freezer and thought, ‘What is that?’” noted Ng. "The Freshen Your Freezer contest is a fun way to clean out your freezer and focus on health and great taste by stocking it with the great variety of meals that Healthy Choice has to offer.”

“Healthy Choice has such a variety of meals for consumers to try -- from the All Natural Entrees and Cafe Steamers to the Steaming Entrees we introduced last year and Complete Meals, there really is something for everyone,” added Healthy Choice brand director John Lindell. “The contest shows consumers they can have a healthy stockpile of foods in their freezers while rewarding them for being a fan of Healthy Choice.”

The contest closes on Aug. 19, with winners to be notified the week of Aug. 22 and revealed during a live Freezerburns segment on Aug. 27.
