Inspired by Kit Crawford, co-CEO of Clif Bar & Co., Kit’s Organic contains just a handful of simple ingredients, including 100 percent organic fruit and nuts. The gluten-, soy- and dairy-free snack bar comes in four flavors -- Berry Almond, Cashew, Chocolate Almond Coconut and Peanut Butter -- each offering a three-fourths serving of organic fruit and 200 calories or fewer. Additionally, Kit’s Organic contains no added sugar, is low-glycemic and provides a good source of fiber. Like all products from Emeryville, Calif.-based Clif, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Kit’s Organic is free of trans fats, partially hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, preservatives and ingredients sourced from GMOs.
