CHICAGO -- Gourmet grocer Fox & Obel here is being sold to an investment group that plans to expand its store count in the market.
The investment group, Vulpes LLC, is owned by Bill Bolton, a retail grocery veteran leader who formerly worked for Bruno's, Supervalu, and Jewel-Osco, according to local press reports.
Named after its Chicago-based founders, Fox & Obel has operated a single store and cafe for six years in front of Dick's Last Resort in the Streeterville neighborhood.
