Certified Angus Beef Launches Flavors of Flay Sweepstakes
To mark its sponsorship of the Flavors of Flay event during the 2012 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Food & Wine, in addition to its continuing partnership with Bobby Flay and Bobby’s Burger Palace restaurants, the Certified Angus Beef (CAB) brand has introduced The Flavors of Flay Sweepstakes.
Retailers licensed to promote the brand in stores are able to feature the contest in their social media promotions. Consumers can enter for a chance to win a three-night trip for two to Miami Beach for the festival, through 11:59 p.m. (EST) on Jan. 16, 2012. Details are available at www.certifiedangusbeef.com.
Valued at $4,999, the exclusive culinary adventure takes place in late February 2012, and includes airfare to Miami International Airport; hotel accommodations for three nights; entrance to some of the festival’s hottest events; dinner for two at South Beach hotspot Red, the Steakhouse; and a $500 VISA gift card.
“Bobby Flay is a culinary icon, a mastermind behind the grill,” noted Tracey Erickson, VP of marketing at Wooster, Ohio-based CAB. “He has been using our quality beef for many years, and we … have formalized our partnership by supporting the first-ever Flavors of Flay event and being the exclusive provider for Bobby’s Burger Palace restaurants.”
The sweepstakes is the only opportunity for guests to experience the sold-out Flavors of Flay evening, which will take place at The Raleigh Hotel’s pool deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. During the evening, Flay will bring together executive chefs from all of his restaurant concepts for a walk-around tasting that will feature Southwestern fare from Mesa Grill; American flavors with a touch of the European from Bar Americain; classic protein fare from Bobby Flay Steak; and innovative creations from Bobby’s Burger Palace.
Launched in 1978 by Angus producers, CAB is the only brand owned by the St. Joseph, Mo.-based American Angus Association and its nearly 30,000 rancher members.
