Catalina Marketing Expands Relationship with Carrefour Group

Catalina Marketing France, adivision of Catalina Marketing Corporation, has announced that it has signed a contract with Carrefour Group, the second largest retailer in the world, to begin installation of the Catalina Marketing Network(R) in 500 newly converted Champion stores. The addition of these stores will expand the
Network to all 1,000 French Champion stores, and will increase the installed
store count of the Network in France to more than 2,100 stores.

"We developed a partnership with Catalina Marketing more than five years ago, which has been a great contribution to the success of our customer relationship programs," said Gerard Castrie, Loyalty Marketing and Customer Relationship Management Director for Champion. "It was clear to us, following
the recent conversion of the 500 carrefour-owned stores to the Champion fascia
and format, that we had to install the Catalina Marketing Network in all of
those converted stores. Our decision further demonstrates that the Catalina Marketing Network is an integral part of the Champion store concept."

Catalina Marketing France and Champion have agreed to provide both in-store media services, including Checkout Coupon, and the Ecoliste(R) Internet promotion services in all Champion stores. Installation of the new
Champion stores has begun and should be completed by year-end of 2001.
