Cargill's Premium Beef Brands Launch New Web Sites
WICHITA, Kan. - Sterling Silver Premium Meats and AngusPride beef, the premium beef brands of Cargill Meat Solutions based here, have launched two new Web sites to provide consumers with the recipes and cooking information they demand
Cargill executives said they wanted to meet the demand for easy, centralized access to food information by building the new Web sites, www.SterlingSilverMeats.com and www.AngusPrideBeef.com.
"These new Web sites are our most recent effort to support our brands and help retailers build consumer loyalty," said Kent Harrison, brand manager, premium programs. "Helping consumers easily access the food information they need on the Internet creates satisfied premium beef shoppers. If we offer them solutions online, consumers will look for our brands in-store because they know we're in tune with their needs and will provide the quality they expect."
Harrison said consumer research shows that the Internet is the preferred source for cooking information.
In addition to creating sites featuring nutritional facts, cooking tips, recipes, and wine pairings, Cargill also used the online venue to provide additional information and opportunities for consumer engagement with the brand, such as the online beef quiz and consumer e-newsletters.
Cargill Meat Solutions, a subsidiary of Cargill, Inc., is one of the largest fresh, frozen and value-added beef, pork and turkey suppliers in the country.
