Cargill’s Honeysuckle White and Shady Brook Farms turkey brands have teamed up with Walt Disney Pictures for a springtime promotion, offering consumers a $5 mail-in rebate when they purchase a fresh turkey product and a Blu-ray combo pack of Disney’s animated feature “Wreck-It Ralph.” The promotion runs through April 30.
“The ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ promotion follows our highly successful fall 2012 mail-in rebate promotion in support of the Blu-ray release of Disney-Pixar’s ‘Brave,’ and we are delighted to tie-in again with Disney,” said Mary Richardson, Honeysuckle White and Shady Brook Farms marketing manager. “Our nutritious, delicious and easy-to-prepare turkey products are a great fit with Disney’s family-oriented animated feature films.”
The Cargill turkey brand/“Wreck-It Ralph” promotion utilizes a variety of marketing tools to boost consumer awareness, including a national free-standing newspaper insert to be distributed on Sunday, March 10. Additionally, more than 7 million packages of Honeysuckle White and Shady Brook Farms turkey products will feature a promotional QR code and web address for consumers to access the mail-in rebate form from their mobile devices.
Point-of-purchase materials for retailers include static clings, wobblers, shelf talkers, posters, rail strips, backer boards and signs. Advertising in support of the promotion will be featured on recipe websites such as All Recipes, as well as on Facebook, Google and the Honeysuckle White and Shady Brook Farms websites.
