BugBand Teams With NASCAR Driver
BugBand Inc. has formed a partnership with NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Max Gresham, marking the first time any company has become a sponsorship partner with his Made In USA Brand (MIUSA) on-track awareness program. The campaign aims to draw attention to American-made products, services and companies by encouraging consumers to look for the Made In USA Brand Certification Mark when they make purchases. BugBand is one of more than 800 Made In USA Brand Certified companies.
According to Dan Ritter, president of Cartersville, Ga.-based BugBand: “Max has a tremendous future in NASCAR, and we’re looking forward to helping the hundreds of thousands of people who use BugBand learn more about him. That, and introducing BugBand to his fans.”
Featuring a full line of wristbands, pump sprays, towelettes and diffusers with the active ingredient Geraniol, a naturally derived concentrated oil extracted from geranium flowers, BugBand is “the first of what I hope to be many Made In USA companies who will take advantage of the opportunity of being involved with our racing efforts,” said Gresham. “I know more companies and manufacturers are going to join in as we grow the Made In USA program this season. We have a great effort focusing on supporting American companies, buying Made In USA products and creating jobs.”
“BugBand is a natural fit for race fans,” noted Ritter. “Being outdoors without protection against insects simply isn’t an option. The fact that Geraniol is both a safe and effective alternative to harsh insect repellents makes it a choice that everybody can feel good about.”
Gresham and his Made In USA Brand/BugBand Chevrolet NASCAR Truck Series racer will be in Las Vegas for the National Hardware Show taking place May 1-3, during which time he will appear at the Made In USA Brand Pavilion, signing autographs for event attendees.
BugBand will make its NASCAR Camping World Truck Series track debut on Gresham’s No. 24 truck on Friday, May 18 in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The event will be telecast live on SPEED. The company will alos continue to appear as an associate partner on Gresham’s Joe Denette Motorsports truck and other race vehicles at select events throughout the rest of the year.
