Bruno’s Serves Customers, Despite Storms
In the face of severe weather that ravaged Alabama this week, regional supermarket chain Bruno’s is staying open in affected areas.
“While some of our stores in the Birmingham, Cullman and Tuscaloosa area have sustained damages, we will continue to remain open while making repairs,” vowed the banner, which operates seven locations in the state. “As always, our No. 1 priority continues to be providing the best service possible to our customers.”
The chain expressed its “deepest condolences” to those who suffered losses as a result of a powerful storm system that unleashed a series of destructive tornadoes across the South, claiming at least 200 lives.
A subsidiary of C&S Wholesale Grocers in Keene, N.H., Birmingham, Ala.-based Southern Family Markets operates more than 60 grocery stores in the southeastern United States under the Southern Family Market, Bruno’s, Piggly Wiggly and Food World banners.
