Brothers Marketplace to Open 2nd Store
Roche Bros. plans to open its second Brothers Marketplace, in Medfield, Mass., on July 30. The format provides a one-stop grocery-shopping and dining experience with a carefully curated selection of local, fresh and specialty foods.
According to Rick Roche, co-owner and CEO of Wellesley, Mass.-based Roche Bros., the Medford location will "see the concept come to life in its full expression," adding that the company hoped the new store would become "a favorite neighborhood grocery and dining experience for residents."
As well as items such as coffee, bread and produce sourced from the surrounding area, Brothers Marketplace in Medfield will feature an in-store diner with a menu offering items from classic and hot dogs to artisan sodas and a full assortment of ice cream. Customers will also be able to select from an assortment of scratch-made pastries at the store’s bakery cafe with indoor/outdoor seating.
Brothers Marketplace in Medfield will be open Mondays-Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The first Brothers Marketplace opened in Weston, Mass., in May.
Run by second-generation owners Rick and Ed Roche, Roche Bros. operates 20 Roche Bros. and Sudbury Farms supermarkets, and both Brothers Marketplace locations, employing a total of more than 4,600 associates.
