Bozzuto's Promotes 2, Adds New Exec to Staff
CHESHIRE, Conn. -- Wholesale distributor Bozzuto's, Inc., based here, said Friday Donna Maglio and Sharon Delaney had been promoted to the positions of v.p., supply chain and director of procurement, respectively, while Gary Spinozze has joined the company in the newly created role of director of corporate programs and trade relations.
A Bozzuto's employee since 1985, Maglio has an extensive management and supply chain background. She most recently served as Bozzuto's director of inventory and logistics management. In her new position she will take on responsibility for nonperishable buying activities, among them data integrity, inbound vendor negotiations, and logistics. She will report to Steve Heggelke, s.v.p., merchandising and procurement.
Delaney, who possesses wide inventory control and category management knowledge, will be responsible for maintaining daily service levels to Bozzuto's customers, overseeing procurement activities, implementing new programs to enhance buying efficiencies, and streamlining the company's inbound activities. In addition, she will continue to manage and oversee Bozzuto's business account relationship for the Boston-based, 17-store Roche Bros. chain, one of Bozzuto's largest accounts. Delaney will report directly to Maglio.
Prior to joining Bozzuto's in 2000 as a category merchandiser, Delaney was a buyer and merchandiser for C&S Wholesale for 10 years. At Buzzuto's she has held such positions as category manager and inventory manager.
Spinozze's responsibilities will include program development, supplier negotiations, and administration of all corporate incentive programs, in addition to the development of existing and new supplier/trade relations. Gary He will also report to Heggelke.
Spinozze comes to Bozzuto's from Nash Finch Co., where he served as v.p. of grocery procurement and v.p. of national accounts. At Nash Finch, he handled perishable and nonperishable departments, along with store brands and central procurement departments. Before joining Nash Finch, Spinozze was a v.p. of marketing working from the Harrisburg, Pa. facility of Richfood, Inc. Before that he served at Roundy's as a director of national brands in Pewaukee, Wis.
