Blischok Departs IRI for Booz & Co.

Thomas J. Blischok has joined the global management consultancy, Booz & Co., as a new member of its San Francisco team. Bringing more than 30 years of experience in global retailing as a consultant and thought leader, Blischok will concentrate on developing strategies for the firm’s retail and consumer packaged goods clients.

“Thom Blischok is a recognized expert in the grocery, drug, convenience store, and mass retailing space, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have him on our team,” said Les Moeller, senior partner at Booz & Co. “His experience in designing, developing, and implementing organizational, operational, and technology strategies and capabilities for global retailers complement and expand our strong offerings in these markets.”

Prior to joining Booz & Co., Blischok spent eight years as president of Symphony IRI Group’s retail and global strategy and innovation groups. Before that, he served as chairman/CEO of his own strategic technology consulting firm, MindMeld LLC. Prior to that, Blischok was EVP and group executive at Equifax, where he was responsible for assisting retail and financial service clients create and implement loyalty strategies after serving as chairman/CEO of Knowledge Engineering Group, a privately held think tank. His career as a consultant took root at AT&T Global Information Systems, where he served as VP/chief consulting officer, then at Coopers & Lybrand as chairman of global retail and distribution consulting.
