The Biodynamics of Tea
In celebration of Earth Day, Ojai, Calif.-based Zhena's Gypsy Tea will debut a line of Biodynamic balanced teas that will be sold exclusively at Whole Foods Market through June 1, after which it will be available elsewhere. Biodynamic farming preserves the land by upgrading and nourishing the soil and plant life through special processes, and excludes the use of chemicals. Certified by Demeter-USA, the only certification agent for Biodynamic farms, processors and products in the United States, the tea comes in the following varieties: Vanilla Blueberry, Kiwi Peach, Mango Ginger, Caramelized Pear and Black Forest Berry. A recyclable, airtight tin of 22 eco-friendly sachets retails for a suggested $9.95. Learn more by visiting www.gypsytea.com.
