Bimbo Holding Debut Parties at Area Grocery Stores

Bimbo Bakeries USA (BBU) is throwing parties this month to introduce its nutrition- and value-focused Bimbo bread products at two Atlanta-area Kroger stores and two Miami-area Winn-Dixie locations. The Atlanta shindigs are tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Peachtree Street Kroger, and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Chamblee/Tucker Road Kroger, while the Miami bashes will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the NW 11th Street Winn-Dixie and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the NW 7th Street Winn-Dixie.

Raffle prizes will be given at all of the stores, including a year’s supply of Bimbo bread and a family consultation with a local nutritionist. Bimbo will also mark the occasion by donating 1,000 loaves of bread to area food bank.

Adding even more excitement to the occasion, Bimbo’s Bear Patrol will drop by, featuring brand mascot Bimbo Bear, who bring along his giant inflatable Bimbo bread loaf, toaster and other items for families to enjoy. A photographer will be available to take photos of children with the lovable critter.

Manufactured by Horsham, Pa.-based BBU, which also makes the Arnold, Boboli, Brownberry, Entenmann’s, Freihofer’s, Oroweat, Stroehmann and Thomas’ brands, among others, Bimbo bread is a good source of calcium, vitamins A, D and E, and is free of artificial colors, flavors and high-fructose corn syrup. It’s the first mainstream, value-priced bread brand to offer all of these nutritional qualities in one package, according to the company. Launching throughout the U.S. in 2010, Bimbo bread will be available in Soft White, Soft Wheat, Made with Whole Grain White, and Honey Wheat varieties.
