Bi-Lo to Help Shoppers Save on Ink and Toner Cartridges

MAULDIN, S.C.-- Bi-Lo/Bruno's said it is working with Indianapolis-based Cartridge City to offer recycled ink cartridge and toner refills for introductory prices of $9.99 and $14.99.

The chain said customers can drop off their old cartridges at Bi-Lo stores and return as early as the following day to pick up newly refilled cartridges, for a fraction of the prices of new cartridges.

"This service represents a significant savings for our customers," said John Symons, e.v.p. of operations for Bi-Lo/Bruno's, in a statement.

Bi-Lo and Cartridge City have tested the services in 22 Bi-Lo supermarkets in the Chattanooga, Tenn., area. Bi-Lo supermarkets in the Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson areas of South Carolina, along with stores in Asheville and Charlotte, N.C., are now the first stores to offer Cartridge City's services in the Southeast.

Cartridge City provides services from inside grocery stores in the Midwest and Southeast.

Bi-Lo/Bruno's operates more than 300 full-service supermarkets in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee.
