BGC Backs St. Jude’s Fundraiser
Brookshire Food Stores in Monroe, La., have stepped up to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by donating groceries for a year, valued at $4,000, for an early-bird prize drawing in the area’s St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. Individuals who reserved tickets by May 1 are eligible to win the prize, which will be revealed in June 28 drawings televised during a local segment of the St. Jude Telethon.
Proceeds from the giveaway go to St. Jude, internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and treating children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
Tyler, Texas-based Brookshire Grocery Co. (BGC) has expanded its retail operations to more than 150 stores in four states -- Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi -- with three distribution centers and seven manufacturing facilities.
