The shelf-stable, portable items come in five varieties: Mezze Penne with Traditional Marinara Sauce, Mezze Penne with Tomato & Basil Sauce, Mezze Penne with Spicy Marinara Sauce, Whole Grain Fusilli with Vegetable Marinara Sauce, and Whole Grain Mezze Penne with Tomato & Basil Sauce. Made with 100 percent natural ingredients and no preservatives, the meals provide between 10 and 11 grams of protein, a well as being an excellent source of fiber, while the two whole grain varieties also provide a good source of iron, according to Bannockburn, Ill.-based Barilla America Inc. The SRP is $3.29 per 9-ounce package.
