Balance Bar has launched mini energy bars in two of the Valhalla, N.Y.-based brand’s popular flavors: Cookie Dough and Double Chocolate Brownie. Each 100-calorie, certified-kosher bar contains 7 grams of protein and 23 vitamins and minerals, and is an excellent source of antioxidant vitamins A, C and E. Like all Balance Bars, the mini energy bars adhere to the 40-30-30 principle (40 percent of calories come from healthy carbohydrates, 30 percent from quality protein and 30 percent from dietary fat) to help stabilize blood sugar levels, satisfy hunger and provide lasting energy. A two-flavor, 10-count box of .088-ounce (25-gram) bars retails for a suggested $8.99.
